Professional of the Year Awards
The Professional of the Year Award candidates must be nominated, go through an application process, and then a peer-based judging process.
Each nominee is recognized as a leader in our field and has proven their dedication to the industry by putting forth the time, money, and effort to further their professional development. What sets our winners apart from all nominees is their additional commitment to the association as a whole. The winner in each category gives of him or herself through year-round involvement in AAA committees, participation at events, and community service activities, and aids us in developing our next generation of award winners and association leaders.
AAA Professional of the Year awards are given in these categories:
- Assistant Manager of the Year Award
- Independent Rental Owner of the Year Award
- Leasing Professional of the Year Award
- Maintenance Supervisor/Manager of the Year Award
- Maintenance Technician of the Year Award
- Property Manager of the Year Award
- Regional Maintenance Supervisor of the Year Award
- Regional/Portfolio Supervisor of the Year Award
- Supplier (Products & Services) of the Year Award
- Trailblazer of the Year Award
Community of the Year Awards
Community of the Year Award candidates must first be nominated and then complete a comprehensive evaluation process that includes a mystery shop, Online Reputation Assessment (ORA) score, review of staff and professional designations, and a physical and visual inspection.
Each nominated community is recognized for its commitment to excellence in the multifamily housing industry. What sets the winners apart is their ability to provide an outstanding resident experience while maintaining a professional team, strong online reputation, and a welcoming, well-maintained community. These award-winning communities demonstrate the high standards and dedication that help strengthen the multifamily industry across Central Texas.

Association Awards
Association Award candidates must meet the qualifications for their award category and may be invited to complete an application. Finalists may also participate in a self-interview and submit supporting materials highlighting their experience, accomplishments, and involvement.
Each nominee is recognized for making a meaningful impact through education, industry leadership, or community service. What sets the winners apart is their lasting commitment to supporting AAA members, strengthening the multifamily profession, and giving back to the community. Through their knowledge, leadership, and service, these honorees help build a stronger association and inspire the next generation of multifamily professionals.
