TDHCA is moving to a new Texas Rent Relief application system
On Saturday, March 13, the TDHCA operators of the Texas Rent Relief program are changing to a new online application system to make it easier to apply and receive rental and utility assistance. In anticipation of the change, the current online application portal will be unavailable beginning at 12:01 a.m., CST, Friday, March 12. The new online application portal will be available at 10 a.m., CST, on Saturday, March 13. At that time, you will be able to apply for assistance or check the status of your existing application.
If you have already submitted an application, your application will not lose its place in line. You will also receive an email with instructions on how to access your application in the new system. TexasRentRelief.com will still be the program's main webpage to access the application.
The TDHCA is making these changes in response to feedback received by applicants. In the new portal, you will be able to add missing documents and understand where you are in the application process. Program reviewers will also be able to contact you to gather missing information.
