Essentials for Property Management Code Compliance: Alarm Permits and more!

The City of Austin Development Services Department’s Code and Alarm Administration teams, in partnership with the Austin Apartment Association, will soon host several webinars about essential topics of code compliance.

On Monday, May 19th join the webinar about alarm permits and apartment complex requirements.

Any business that operates, maintains or owns a monitored local alarm system, is required to have an alarm permit.  For property managers, a principal alarm permit is required for systems operated in non-residential areas such as amenity, office, or storage areas; and if any residential units have an alarm system on the premises.  Read more here: https://www.austintexas.gov/alarms.
