AAA Launches Envision 2030 Strategic Plan and Updates Committee Structure
The Austin Apartment Association Board of Directors has officially adopted its new strategic plan: Envision 2030. 2025 AAA President Paige Russell shares, “Envision 2030 is our roadmap for the future. It will guide how we make decisions, invest in the association, support our members, and represent your interests more effectively.”
The plan focuses on five strategic priorities:
- Upgrading technology to improve how we work and make decisions
- Transforming member engagement to better serve the community of multifamily professionals
- Revamping programming to deliver more value
- Investing in communities through smart policy and partnerships
- Building financial strength for long-term success
To support these goals, AAA has refreshed its committee structure. As the saying goes, “Every organization is perfectly designed to get the results it’s currently getting.” Our committees were built around our previous strategic plan, so it was time to realign.
The Board reviewed all committees and councils—deciding whether to clarify, restructure, or retire them. The result is a streamlined structure designed to support Envision 2030.
Here’s what’s new:
- Two councils have new names:
- Member Experience & Expansion Council is now the Member Experience Council
- Marketing & Brand Strategy Council is now the Membership & Brand Development Council
- The Membership & Brand Development Council now includes:
- Events & Engagement Committee
- Education Committee
- A new Analytics Working Group
- Several working groups have been absorbed into committees, including:
- Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
- Education
- Awards & Honors
- The Peer Groups Working Group and Brand Creation Committee have been retired.
- Future Leaders is now a committee under the Financial Growth & Resilience Council.
- The Political Action Committee has been elevated to a Board of Trustees.
- A new Community Engagement & PR Committee has been added to the Industry Intelligence & Influence Council.
These changes are designed to help AAA stay focused, flexible, and ready to lead in the years ahead.
