Austin Apartment Association’s Advocacy Secures Victory for Public Safety

Last night, Austin City Council approved the 5-year contract with the Austin Police Department, with all members voting in favor except Council Member Zo Qadri. This contract is a crucial step toward enhancing public safety in our city. 

On behalf of our members, the Austin Apartment Association proudly supported this agreement, recognizing it as an essential measure to protect all Austinites in the communities they call home.  By supporting increased recruitment and improving response times, this contract empowers APD to address public safety concerns more effectively.
