Maintenance expenses are the single largest controllable element in any operating budget. This course is designed as an introduction for new maintenance professionals or as a refresher for the veteran employee, to give these professionals the knowledge and tools necessary to run an effective maintenance program.

Requirements:

  • To obtain the CAMT credential, candidates must complete the following:
  • Minimum of 12 months of apartment or rental housing maintenance experience.
  • If the candidate has not met this experience requirement before enrolling in the program, they will be eligible to earn the Provisional CAMT. 
  • Once the Provisional CAMT is earned, the credential holder has two years from the date the Provisional CAMT was earned to meet the twelve-months experience requirement and upgrade to the full CAMT credential. If the credential holder fails to submit the application in PACE and meet all requirements to upgrade to the full CAMT within the two-year window, they will be required to take the course and pass the exam again. The Provisional CAMT will expire after two years.
  • To upgrade from the Provisional CAMT to the full CAMT, follow these instructions.
  • Successful completion of all CAMT classroom and online coursework.
  • Pass the examination.

maintenance
• Maintaining recreational facilities and
common areas
• Implementing a preventive maintenance
schedule
• Product repair and replacement decisions
• Professional behavior, communication
skills, and personal appearance

The course materials for this designation program are offered in an E-Books format. You will receive an email with more instructions (E-book, Syllabus, ect.) a week before the class starts.
The E-Books can be downloaded onto personal laptops and/or tablets which can be utilized during class. If you would like a hard copy, please contact Education@austinaptassoc.com 

**Please note this class needs 12 people to make. If 12 people are not registered, the course will need to be rescheduled.
