How Can You Help After Harvey? We sincerely hope you, your families, friends and residents are all safe and sound after the horrible weather weekend; we all know others in our great state have not fared so well.
AAA staff is in communication with local Red Cross representatives on the best ways our association and members can help. For the foreseeable future, the best possible way for you to help is to support the Red Cross with either your volunteer time at a local shelter, or with a financial donation. VolunteerDonate Austin is expected to be a place of refuge for thousands of displaced people from all over Southeast Texas…some within our AAA jurisdiction: Bastrop, Smithville, La Grange are communities all experiencing heavy flooding and damage to housing. The Red Cross has mobilized a massive relief effort to provide shelter, food and comfort. They expect upwards of $25 million in response and recovery funds will be needed in the coming days, weeks and months. On behalf of the Red Cross and especially those receiving their services, AAA thanks you for your outpouring of concern and help.
